Storybird
I believe Storybird is an extremely useful educational tool. It allows students to create while still providing parameters for their creativity. It forces users to think and connect images that might not flow as well on their own, and it also provides many different templates that are appropriate for all ages. I would personally use this in my own class, and it could be a great holiday project or "About Me" project for any student.

Animoto
I can definitely see how Animoto would be beneficial and useful in a classroom. Slide shows are better for some teaching strategies, especially those that require the students to learn from the slides. Animoto would be much more useful for some tasks, however, such as reviewing facts that student's have already learned. It would also be a neat activity for older students to use themselves to create a slide show on a subject of interest. Animoto would also be useful when sharing pictures from an activity or field trip with parents and other teachers.
